Job summary

Enva is hiring a HGV Trade Driver to join the Transport team in Glenrothes. You will work a dayshift from 6:00 am to 16:00 pm, five days a week, 45 hours with overtime eligibility.

Responsibilities include collecting, transporting and delivering waste, recycling materials, skips and general goods while upholding safety, customer service and legal compliance. You will operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, secure loads, plan efficient routes and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Class 2 LGV driving licence.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Professional and organised approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations and company procedures.
• Carry out deliveries and collections using various vehicle types (Chain Skip, RoRo, 18-tonne Curtain-Sider).
• Load, transport and unload materials safely and securely.
• Ensure cargo and containers are secured before transit.
• Plan and follow efficient routes while meeting delivery schedules.
• Perform daily vehicle walkaround checks and defect reports.
• Maintain roadworthiness and compliance with legal requirements.
• Report defects, accidents, incidents and near misses promptly.
• Comply with Driver Hours Regulations and Tachograph legislation.
• Keep vehicles clean and presentable; provide professional service.
• Represent the company positively on sites and public roads.
• Obtain signatures and delivery paperwork; ensure compliance with health and safety.
• Undertake dynamic risk assessments when attending customer sites.
