Job summary

The Best Connection in the Dudley area is currently recruiting for Class 2 HGV drivers on a temp-to-perm basis. You will operate a curtain-sided vehicle and complete local and national timber deliveries, with a clear path to permanent employment.

The role requires a valid Class 2 HGV license, CPC and Tachograph cards, and clean license (up to 3 points). The position offers £14.00 per hour, with overtime at £21.00 per hour; standard hours apply and full compliance with safety procedures is

Qualifications

• Class 2 Driver (HGV) with a clean licence (3 points max).
• Must have verifiable references.
• Valid CPC card and digital Tachograph card.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV curtain sided vehicle for local and national deliveries, of timber products.
• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and work with dispatchers to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner; be prepared to return home after shifts.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced promptly.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

The Best Connection are Currently recruiting for x 4 Class 2 HGV Drivers to secure a Temp to permanent position in the Dudley area.

The successful candidate will require a current and valid Class 2 HGV License and must have HGV Class 2 driving experience.

The hourly pay rate for this position is £14.00 hourly, with over time paid after 8 hrs. At £21.00 per hour

Responsibilities of the Class 2 HGV Driver

• Operate a Class 2 HGV curtain sided vehicle for local and national deliveries, of timber Products

• Also adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner and prepare to return home.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
