Job summary

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Class 2 HGV Drivers to secure a temp to permanent position in the Dudley area. The successful candidate will require a current and valid Class 2 HGV licence and must have HGV Class 2 driving experience.

Duties include local and national deliveries, pre- and post-trip checks, with safety first and foremost. The hourly pay rate for this position is £14.00 hourly, with overtime paid after 8 hours at £21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 experience required.
• Clean licence with up to 3 points.
• CPC and tachograph cards required.
• Verifiable references needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV curtain-sided vehicle for local and national deliveries of timber products.
• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections in line with company policy.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and communicate with dispatchers daily to ensure timely tasks.
• Maintain productivity standards and follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of the Class 2HGV Driver

Operate a Class 2 HGV curtain sided vehicle forlocal and national deliveries, of timber Products

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.

Also adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner and prepare to return home.

Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.

Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Requirements of the Class 2HGV Driver

Must have a clean license up to 3points for minor offences

Verifiable references

Valid CPC card and digital Tachograph card
