Qualifications

Job description

HGV Class 2 Driver

Location: West Bromwich B70 0AN
Salary: GBP16.10 per hour.
Contract: Full time, daytime hours with an hour for lunch each day, permanent.

Tennants Distribution Ltd is a leading independent distributor of chemicals based in the UK. We are a subsidiary company of Tennants Consolidated Ltd and our origins go back to the late 1700 s when the company was founded in Glasgow, Scotland.

We are currently looking for a Class 2 curtainside driver to deliver chemicals (hazardous and non-hazardous) around the Midlands. Tail lift and semi-bulk chemical discharge deliveries will be part of your daily duties (full training given will be given). 7am to 4pm with overtime available. Overtime payable at 1.5hrs after 45hrs worked.

Responsibilities

• To complete packed and semi-bulk deliveries around the Midlands
• Always adhere to company standards including good housekeeping
• Communicate effectively with customers
• Accurate completion of paperwork
• Adhere to company and sites Health and Safety rules, policies and procedures

• Must be personable with excellent customer service
• Be punctual and reliable
• Have clear communication skills
• Proven ability to make independent decisions as well as the ability to work as part of a team

About You:

• Hold a HGV Class 2 licence (max 6 points) along with DCPC card
• Be punctual & reliable
• Be good at using your initiative
• Good communication skills
