Driver Hire Stockport is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to work for various clients across the SK postcode area. As the busy season approaches, we are looking to expand our team. We have work available from Monday to Friday, and we ask that you are flexible with your days and hours. We can also accommodate your availability. Start times vary depending on the client, typically between 5am and 8am.

Available Contracts:

• Multi-drop
• Flatbed
• General haulage

We supply roughly 50 clients weekly.

Driver Responsibilities:

• Drive the HGV responsibly, obeying all traffic laws.
• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance.
• Assist with loading and unloading when necessary.
• Maintain good communication with Branch Managers regarding daily progress.

Client Requirements:

• Valid Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• At least 6 months of relevant driving experience
• No more than 6 points on your license (no DD, DR, IN, TT endorsements)

Pay Rates:

£15.68/hr - Minimum 8 hours paid

£20.91/hr - Paid after 8 hours

This rate includes holiday accrual. If you prefer to accrue holidays separately, the rates are £14/hr and £18.66/hr for overtime.
