Job description

Join our fantastic team in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, innovative, and growing company. As a HGV driver we are looking for somebody that is very flexible, have the correct licences, hold a CPC card, relevant IPAF qualifications enjoy dealing with people on a daily basis, have excellent customer service skills and understand the importance of health and safety within an organisation. Roles and responsibilities:
• Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting and delivering machines.
• Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with machine operation
• Carry out daily checks on vehicle and ancillary equipment.
• Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and working time.
• Relay appropriate customer queries to depot staff as required.
• Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times.
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork.
• Liaise with Senior and Local Management to efficiently cover driver absence, provide additional cover and carry out inter-depot transfers.
• Occasional overnights may be required with notice.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be passionate about customer service and health and safety standards within the organisation
• Hold a HGV Class 2 driving license & full CPC card
• Be able to converse effectively with customers and colleagues
• Have previous experience of transporting MEWPS
• Have a valid IPAF licence and load/unload qualification
• Have knowledge of haulage industry and statutory legislative requirements
• Have an understanding of vehicle safety and upkeep
