Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester South is seeking several HGV Class 2 Drivers to service client needs in and around Sale and South/East Manchester. You may work across various roles from food delivery to haulage, with overtime and weekly PAYE payments.

Benefits include pension and regular weekly pay. CPC and Tachograph compliance are required, with a Full UK licence and Cat-C licence supported by a flexible, varied shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Holding Full UK Driving licence with 1 year minimum experience.
• Cat-C Licence (HGV Class 2) required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card; no more than 6 points (no DD/DR/IN/TT).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress.
• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits.
• Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws.
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed.

Job description

Role: HGV Class 2 Driver

Salary: £16.81 per hour including holiday pay (£15.00 with accrued holiday pay)

Location: South & East Manchester

Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit

We are currently seeking several HGV Class 2 Drivers to fulfil our client's demands for various roles in and around the Sale, South and East Manchester areas.

You can work in a variety of differing roles from delivering food products to the catering industry, timber products, plumbing supplies, hire equipment, vehicle deliveries for the TV and Film industry, as well as general haulage.This means you could, if you wanted, work in various roles in the week and ensure no two days are the same.

Some of our clients are happy to give experience to new pass drivers.

HGV Class 2 Driver responsibilities:

• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
