Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Rotherham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours: Shifts across a 24-hour operation, Monday to Sunday (choose your own start windows). 10 hour shifts on average.

Pay Rates (2 payment options):

PAYE: £150 per day midweek, £170 per day on weekends

Rolled up: £168 per day midweek, £190 per day on weekends

Location: Rotherham, S66.

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• As part of a 24/7 operation, you’ll be trunking trailers for major parcel companies.
• Covering routes predominantly from the Northwest to Nuneaton/Rugby and Dundee etc.
• Flexible start times but predominantly from 18:00 onwards.
• Average 10-hour shifts.
• Ongoing work with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• A minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your driving licence (minor offences only).
• Ability to work independently and efficiently on long-haul runs.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to high safety standards.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
