Job summary

Workchain is seeking a temporary HGV Class 2 Driver to support daytime deliveries from the Pontyclun area. You will drive safely, complete local/regional deliveries, load and unload goods, and maintain professional customer service on each trip.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, tachograph card and prior delivery experience. Day shifts and a temporary contract are offered in Pontyclun.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Previous commercial driving or delivery experience.
• Experience with handball and manual handling.
• Good knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and organised.
• Professional manner and clear communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Completing local and regional deliveries as scheduled.
• Loading, securing and unloading goods.
• Carrying out handball duties at delivery locations.
• Checking delivery paperwork and obtaining proof of delivery.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues.
• Following road safety, site safety and company procedures.
• Providing polite and professional customer service.

The role
