About the Role

EARLY SHIFT - 2am/3am start

The Role

To drive safely whilst undertaking refuse collection service. To represent the company to a good standard ensuring work is completed maintaining customer service standards.

Main Purpose

• Carry out duties in a productive manner.
• Ensure adherence to the company's Health and Safety policies.
• Complete routes efficiently.
• Drive in a safe and economical manner.

Main Tasks and Activities

• Interpret and follow legislation related to road traffic acts as far as reasonably practicable.
• Perform duties professionally and with a customer focus.
• Accurately record daily work using a tablet.
• Ensure all bins are weighed accurately.
• Leave customer premises tidy and return bins.
• Communicate effectively with the administration team.
• Report near misses or accidents promptly.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Work flexibly on various routes as required.
• Be available to work weekends and bank holidays as needed.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as required.

Skills and Experience

• HGV Class 2 license
• Customer service experience
• Knowledge of the waste industry
• Knowledge of tachograph legislation
• Ability or willingness to be trained to operate all relevant vehicles (Trade Waste, FEL, Moffat)
