Job summary

Arnold Clark in Lingfield requires a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team. You will travel across the UK to deliver and collect cars from branches and customers using articulated and rigid car transporters.

We offer a competitive £33,000 basic salary plus bonuses, 33 days of annual leave, flexible leave, private healthcare, workplace pension, extensive training, and more. Monday–Friday full-time hours ensure a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• A Class 2 HGV driving qualification.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• A valid driving licence and a minimum of one year’s driving experience.
• Nice to have: Previous car transport experience and multi-drop deliveries would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading cars onto our state-of-the-art car transporter.
• Route planning on a daily basis.
• Communicating with customers and colleagues in a professional manner to ensure prompt delivery of vehicles.
• Inspecting cars for damage prior to collection and delivery.
• Maintaining high standards and ensuring customers have a positive experience.

About The Role

We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and able to communicate well with others. The ideal candidate will need to interact with customers and staff in a professional manner. You will be required to deliver and collect cars from branches and customers throughout the UK, driving articulated and rigid car transporters.

Day-to-day duties

• Loading and unloading cars onto our state-of-the-art car transporter
• Route planning on a daily basis
• Communicating with customers and colleagues in a professional manner to ensure prompt delivery of vehicles
• Inspecting cars for damage prior to collection and delivery
• Maintaining the company’s high standards and ensuring customers have a positive overall experience

Essential Skills And Experience

• A Class 2 HGV driving qualification
• Good communication skills
• A team player
• A valid driving licence and a minimum of one years’ driving experience

Nice To Have But Not Essential

• Previous car transport experience would be beneficial but not essential
• Previous experience of multi-drop deliveries in London would be beneficial
• Full training will be provided by our in-house driver training team
