Job description

Driver Hire Leeds West is looking for HGV Class 2 / LGV Cat C Drivers to join our waste management and recycling client in Leeds. This is a hands-on, early-start driving role with the chance to secure a permanent position and earn up to £36,000 per year with overtime and bonuses.

Whether you have refuse collection experience or are a newly qualified driver, this role offers consistent hours, great pay, and the chance to work as part of a friendly crew.

Pay & Benefits

As a HGV Class 2 driver, you will receive;

• Permanent salary: £36,000 per year (including overtime & performance related bonus), based on 48hr week, including overtime, paid after 40hrs.


• £15.69 per hour (standard rate)

Job Duties

As a HGV Class 2 driver, your duties will include;

• Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 refuse vehicles on daily waste & recycling routes


• Assist with the loading of waste and recyclable materials (manual handling involved)


• Transport loads to local disposal and recycling facilities


• Work closely with loaders and other team members to complete routes on time


• Follow all Health & Safety and company procedures

Requirements

• Category C (Class 2 / LGV Cat C) licence


• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card


• Maximum of 6 points on licence (no major endorsements)


• Good timekeeping and reliability for early starts


• Previous experience as a Refuse Driver, Recycling Driver, or in Waste Management is preferred, but not essential


• New Pass drivers with a great attitude will be considered.
