Job summary

Recon Recruitment are seeking a HGV Class 2 driver for our partner in Ilkeston. The role involves delivering steel products on a Monday–Friday schedule with a 06:00 start each day, ensuring loads are safely strapped and secured for transit.

The ideal candidate will hold a UK HGV Class 2 licence with CPC and tachograph, and have reliability and safety in mind for on-time deliveries in a busy steel distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK HGV Class 2 licence with valid CPC and tachograph
• Experience delivering steel or similar loads is desirable
• Professional driver with good reliability and safety record

Responsibilities

• Deliver steel products to customers on a Monday–Friday schedule
• Secure loads using ratchet straps and ensure safe handling
• Start times around 06:00 each day and maintain timely deliveries

Job description:

Recon Recruitment are happy to announce we are currently looking for a HGV class 2 driver for our partners based in Ilkeston, this position will run from Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for the delivery of steel.

Start times 0600 every day.

Our Partner is the UK's largest stockist of wrought iron components, welded wire mesh and expanded and perforated metal available from stock for immediate delivery. Other product ranges include stainless steel handrail components, tube clamps and galvanised tube, industrial steel flooring and GRP and tactile flooring.

We have full time and ad hoc work available depending on what suits.

You will be required to ensure your load is safely strapped using ratchet straps.
