Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting for HGV Class 2 drivers to operate from our Hatfield depot. The role involves delivering caged goods to stores and distribution centres, with AM and PM shift patterns and a rolling rest day. A clean licence and good driving record are essential.

Shifts begin early (04:00) with a 5-day week, including a rolling rest day. PAYE pay rates start at £19.95 per hour day work, £21.10 per hour nights, and overtime at £24.94 per hour after 42 hours.

Qualifications

• Must have HGV Class 2 licence
• Excellent driving record
• Ability to complete delivery paperwork
• Ability to work a rolling shift pattern

• Complete delivery paperwork accurately
• Make 6–8 drops per day depending on location

Job description

Our client based in Hatfield who is a leading manufacturer of convenience foods. Supplier of a wide range of chilled, frozen and ambient foods to some of the most successful retail and food service customers in the UK. They are looking to recruit Class 2 drivers to work out of theirdepot in Hatfield on AM and PM shifts. New pass drivers accepted.

HGV Class 2 Driver Main duties will include:

• Deliveryof caged goods to Stores or Distribution Centres
• Making sure your load is safe and all vehicle and trailer checks are completed
• Completionofall delivery paperwork from client to store
• Between 6-8 drops per day depending on location

HGV Class 2 Driver Shifts:

• AM shifts start times 04:00am
• Shift patterns - Monday to Saturday - 5 days a week with a rolling rest day per week

HGV Class 2 Driver Pay Rates:

• Monday to Saturday 06:00 - 22:00 - PAYE Pay Rate £19.95 per hour
• NIGHTS - Monday to Sunday 22:00- 06:00 at £21.10
• Overtime after 42 hours on AM shift - £24.94 per hour
