Job summary

Workchain is seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver for an immediate temporary role in Dudley. Day shifts start 06:00–07:00, with flat bed work and occasional ratchet strapping.

You will deliver and collect goods, perform vehicle checks, and maintain accurate delivery records while upholding excellent customer service. Ideal candidates hold a valid UK HGV Class 2 license with CPC, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently to meet tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving license with HGV Class 2 entitlement.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, preferably in a similar role.
• Excellent driving record.
• Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and traffic laws.
• Highly responsible and able to meet delivery schedules.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical fitness for lifting/loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Utilize navigation devices or maps for efficient route planning.
• Maintain records of all deliveries, including signatures.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations throughout the working day.
• Adapt to additional duties or requests as assigned by the client or agency.
