Job summary

Keystone Lintels, part of Keystone Group, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to deliver products nationwide from Cookstown. You will plan and execute deliveries, ensure loads are secure and paperwork is accurate, and represent the company professionally with customers and colleagues.

The role requires a valid HGV licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, plus prior delivery or driving experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ensure delivery paperwork, manifests and PODs match and are signed.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure loads are secure.
  • Adhere to delivery schedules with high health, safety and service standards.
  • Report issues to relevant teams promptly.

About The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver at Keystone Lintels, you'll play an important role in ensuring our products are delivered safely, efficiently and on time to customers across the country. Working closely with our Dispatch Team and colleagues across the business, you'll be responsible for planning and completing deliveries while ensuring loads are secure, paperwork is accurate and all relevant vehicle and safety checks are completed. You'll be a key representative of Keystone Lintels when out on the road, providing a professional and courteous service to our customers and Sales Representatives while maintaining the high standards we expect across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing


  • Plan and deliver customer orders efficiently, safely and professionally to locations across the country, as required.

  • Liaise closely with the Dispatch Team to coordinate deliveries and ensure an efficient and reliable service.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the yard, dispatch and other departments across the site and wider business.

  • Represent Keystone Lintels professionally at all times, maintaining a courteous and helpful approach when driving and when dealing with customers and Sales Representatives.

  • Ensure loads and delivery manifests accurately match the relevant paperwork, completing and signing all required check sheets.

  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before leaving the yard and ensure all loads are correctly and securely loaded before departure.

  • Ensure deliveries are made in accordance with the required schedule while maintaining high standards of health, safety and customer service.

  • Obtain Proof of Delivery (POD) signatures from customers and return completed paperwork to the office promptly.

  • Report any delivery, vehicle, load or customer issues to the relevant team as soon as possible.


What You’ll Need To Succeed


  • A valid HGV driving licence, Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification.

  • Previous experience in a delivery or HGV driving role, ideally within a manufacturing, construction or industrial environment.

  • A strong understanding of vehicle safety, load security and relevant driving regulations.

  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan deliveries, manage paperwork and meet delivery schedules.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and courteous approach at all times.

  • Good attention to detail, particularly when checking loads, manifests, delivery paperwork and PODs.

  • The ability to work effectively independently and as part of a wider team.

  • A reliable, punctual and flexible approach, with a willingness to work weekends and additional hours during peak periods when required.

  • A strong commitment to health and safety and maintaining high standards while representing Keystone Lintels on the road.


What We’re Looking For


  • A minimum of 12 months' relevant experience in a similar role. Experience within an industrial manufacturing or construction environment would be advantageous.

  • A valid and up-to-date HGV driving licence.

  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

  • A valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

  • Good geographical knowledge and the ability to plan and navigate routes effectively.

  • Strong verbal communication, numeracy and interpersonal skills.

  • A professional, reliable and punctual approach to work.

  • A flexible attitude, with a willingness to work weekends and additional hours during peak business periods when required.

  • A strong commitment to health and safety, with a responsible approach to vehicle operation and the safe handling of deliveries.

  • A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
