Job description

We are recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver for one of our clients in the Coalville area of Leicester.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience in commercial driving and will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of various goods. Deliveries are all palletised but some handball is required. This role requires a commitment to high standards of safety and customer service.

Duties

• Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.


• Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure it is in good working condition.


• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.


• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence with the appropriate class for operating curtain sider vehicles.


• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within commercial driving.


• Understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.


• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
