Qualifications

  • Must have valid Class 2 licence and CPC.

Wincanton is offering the opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our delivery team out of our Portbury site in Bristol.

  • £35,100.00 per annum
  • £14.06 - basic hourly rate
  • 48 hours per week
  • Sunday to Thursday
  • Working as a 2-man delivery team
  • £18.75 - overtime rate for hours worked over 48
  • 31 days annual leave holiday excluding bank holidays

This is a manual job with some heavy lifting.

How will you contribute?

  • Between 4 to 7 deliveries drops per day on average.
  • Safely driving a Class 2 Vehicle, complying with all road traffic, and vehicle legislation.
  • Delivering to our New Look retail stores across the South West and South Wales including unloading the vehicle at delivery points.
  • Collecting and logging returns.
  • Completion of tachographs in line with legislation and company policies.
  • Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects.
  • Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly always secured.

What will you bring?

  • Must have valid in date Class 2 licence
  • Must have valid in date CPC
  • Must hold Digital tachograph card
  • Must have minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
  • Must not have more than 6 points on licence
  • Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
  • Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
  • Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
  • Must have a good geographical knowledge
