Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are now offering a flexible opportunity for experienced HGV Class 2 driver with our client in Bournemouth.

As part of this role, you will be completing deliveries in an HGV Class 2 Vehicle. Unloading will be completed with a pallet truck or by the customer at the delivery site. 6-7 drops is the typical amount per round for day shifts and night shifts are usually a single drop at a pallet hub in the midlands.

Position: HGV Class 2 Driver

Days: Monday-Sunday (flexible)

Start time: 07:00 AM (night trunk shifts are also available, 18:00 start)

Location: Bournemouth

Pay Rate: £16.25 (basic) – £18.21 (nights) – £20.17 (weekends) – £25 night-out allowance (for tramping work). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.

As a HGV Driver you MUST have:

• a valid UK Class 2 HGV driving licence
• a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
• your own transport to get to and from work
• no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)

As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:

• Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
