Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver for a transport company in Alfreton. The role involves delivering office furniture on a multi‑drop route (8–10 drops daily) using tail lift and pallet truck, with a 07:00–17:00 Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Minimum 12 months continuous experience driving articulated lorries in the UK.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Strong knowledge of drivers’ working hours and hours directive.
• Digital Tachograph and Driver CPC cards are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver office furniture on a multi‑drop route (roughly 8–10 drops per day).
• Operate tail lift and pallet truck as part of offloading and positioning goods.
• Adhere to UK driving regulations and complete the shift from 07:00–17:00, Monday to Friday.

TEMP TO PERM POSITION

We are looking for a HGV Class 2 Driver for this transport company based at Alfreton.

In this role you will be delivering office furniture. This is a multidrop drop role, up to 8 to 10 per day, and the majority of the position is Tail Lift and pallet truck.

Previous experience driving HGV Class 2 is required.

Duration: This is a TEMP TO PERM position

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: The PAYE rate for thsi role is £15.30 per hour, and will include 28 days holiday per year.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday0700 to 1700

Experience & Qualifications

To be suitable for this role you must:

• Have a full UK Drivers Licence with a C+E entitlement.
• Have a minimum of 12 months continuous experience driving articulated lorries in the UK
• Have no more than 6 points on your Licence
• Have a strong and coherent understanding of driver’s working hours and working time directive.
• Have a Digital Tacho Card (Digicard)
• Have a valid Driver CPC Card
