Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client. We are looking for HGV Class 2 Car Transporter/Tramper Drivers (CAT C) to join the team on a permanent basis.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6-8am starts (48 hours per week on average).

Pay Rates: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum (+£25 night out allowance and £5 meal allowance per night out).

Location: Ellesmere Port, CH65 4LB.

Job Type: Full time permanent.

The role:

• Deliver vehicles to/from homes, auction houses, dealerships, and other locations.
• Perform vehicle damage checks during pick-up and drop-off.
• Load and unload vehicles onto the transporter yourself.
• Handle runs that vary in volume, from small to large loads and runs.
• Use a smartphone/ePod device for job management and reporting.
• Sleep in the cab (tramping) as part of the role, ensuring flexibility for longer-distance runs.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum of 6 months proven driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Ability to work independently and handle varied runs.
• Be accustomed to nights out in the cab.
• Successful completion of assessment and interview prior to job offer.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
