Job Description:

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are now offering an exciting temporary opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 Car Transporter Driver with our client in Bournemouth.

For this role, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of vehicles using a HGV Car Transporter. Previous experience is advantageous.

Days: Monday-Friday (flexible)

Location: Bournemouth

Pay Rate: £16.25-17.37 (basic) – £18.21-19.61 (nights) – £20.17-20.73 (weekends) – £25 night-out allowance (for tramping work). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.

As a HGV Driver you MUST have:

• a valid UK Class 1 or Class 2 HGV driving licence
• a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
• a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
• your own transport to get to and from work
• no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)

As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:

• Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• minimum of 8 hours daily pay

This position is commutable from Salisbury, Christchurch, Poole and other areas close to Bournemouth.
