Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, as well as the ability to navigate various road conditions and adhere to traffic regulations.

Duties

  1. Operate a lorry to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
  2. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  3. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for safe transport.
  4. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
  5. Adhere to all local and national driving regulations, including speed limits and safety protocols.
  6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  7. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Experience

  1. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
  3. A valid commercial driving licence is required, along with a clean driving record.
  4. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.50 - £17.00 per hour
