Job summary

Smart Solutions are recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy Perth operation, delivering to commercial sites across the North of Scotland. Expect up to 10 drops per shift, loading/unloading cages with tail-lift vehicles, and maintaining professional customer service.

Start times range from 5:00am to 8:00am, shifts across the week, ongoing full-time work in a well‑established business. Applications invited from drivers with valid CPC, tachograph card and clean licence.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points.
• No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements.
• Experience in multidrop collections and deliveries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle.
• Complete scheduled collections and deliveries to commercial premises.
• Load and unload cage-based loads using tail lift vehicles.
• Complete up to 10 drops per shift.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service at customer sites.
• Adhere to all driver regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies.

HGV Class 2 Driver | Perth

Pay: £17.00 per hour

Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy operation based in Perth.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established business carrying out commercial collections and deliveries across the North of Scotland.

Working Hours

• Start times between 5:00am and 8:00am
• The operation runs 7 days a week, with shifts available across the week.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing scheduled collections and deliveries to commercial customer sites across the North of Scotland. You'll be driving modern tail lift vehicles and handling cage‑based loads, ensuring collections and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

Typical routes involve up to 10 drops per shift, with drivers responsible for loading and unloading cages at each location while providing a professional level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
