Job summary
Enva is seeking a HGV Driver Class 1 to safely operate a CE articulated vehicle for waste transport and collection, ensuring compliance with road transport legislation, site safety procedures and environmental standards while delivering excellent customer service. Location: Carryduff.
The role involves daily checks, loading/unloading, route optimisation with the operations team, and maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
- Valid CPC card.
- Digital Tachograph card.
- Experience in driving articulated vehicles.
- Knowledge of transport legislation and safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate a HGV Class 1 (CE) vehicle to complete daily waste transport duties.
- Conduct pre-use and post-use vehicle checks in line with legislation and company procedures.
- Couple and uncouple trailers safely and competently.
- Ensure safe loading, transportation and tipping of waste materials.
- Complete daily route sheets, delivery notes and digital records accurately.
- Report vehicle or trailer defects and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Collaborate with the operations team to optimise routes and improve collection efficiency.
- Monitor and report operational issues to the relevant department for resolution.
- Participate in training and development programmes to stay up to date with industry standards.
