Job summary

Frontline Recruitment National in St Helens is seeking HGV Class 1/ C+E drivers for straightforward trunking work with 1-drop routes in Merseyside. Day and night shifts are available, with regular patterns and reliable starts.

You will drive articulated vehicles, perform safety checks, adhere to drivers' hours and tachograph rules, and complete transport paperwork. A valid UK HGV Class 1 licence and a Digital Tachograph Card are required; trunking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK HGV Class 1/C+E licence.
• Must possess a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours regulations.
• Reliable and punctual approach to work.
• Professional attitude towards vehicle safety.
• Able to work independently.
• Previous Class 1 trunking experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 / LGV C+E for 1-drop trunking assignments.
• Operate articulated vehicles and follow planned trunking routes.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Ensure loads are transported safely and securely.
• Complete transport paperwork accurately.
• Follow drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Maintain professional conduct with transport and depot teams.
