You will safely couple/uncouple trailers, perform safety checks, complete paperwork, and communicate with the transport team. The position offers steady planned work with a driving-focused remit.

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Experience with tramping and nights away from home.
• No handball is required for this role.
• Ability to plan in advance and follow scheduled trunking routes.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled trunking runs between depots and distribution centres.
• Safely couple and uncouple trailers.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer safety checks and report defects.
• Complete relevant paperwork and comply with drivers’ hours regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team.
• Undertake tramping duties, including nights away from home.
