Job Description:

We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Trampers to join Driver Hire in Barnsley for a leading UK value retailer. This role is perfect for drivers who are comfortable with night outs and seeking ongoing work with competitive pay.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for the delivery of goods across the UK.
• Complete long-haul deliveries, often requiring nights out.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Assist with loading and unloading as required.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence (C+E).
• CPC qualification and valid tachograph card.
• Previous experience as a Trampers driver preferred.
• Strong understanding of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Ability to work nights away from home comfortably.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Competitive pay rate of £21.29 per hour (including holiday pay).
• Additional £20 night out allowance per shift.
