Job Summary
Proactive Personnel is looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers with 1 year of experience to work for an established client in the Warrington area. You will be responsible for store deliveries, with start times from 05:00, any day from Monday to Sunday. Morning shifts involve chilled goods, and afternoon shifts involve dry ambient goods.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a tail lift vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the chilled system is functioning properly.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues.
  • Load and unload goods using an electric pump truck, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as per company policies.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safety on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is essential.
  • Familiarity with operating flatbed vehicles is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
