Job description

Job Title: Class 1 Skip Wagon Driver

Driver Hire is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Skip Wagon Driver to join our client in Barnsley. This is a 12-week temp to perm position, offering an exciting opportunity for a professional driver with previous Class 1 Skip Wagon experience to secure a long-term role.

Key Details:

• Location: Barnsley
• Pay: £15.50 per hour (PAYE) or £17.37 per hour including holiday pay
• Overtime: Available after 8 hours
• Shift: 2am starts

Key Responsibilities:

• Collection and delivery of skips across various locations
• Operating a skip wagon with chains
• Handling and pulling an extended trailer to carry up to 3 skips
• Completing 2 to 3 drops per day
• Ensuring safe and efficient transportation of skips
• Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Class 1 Skip Wagon Driver is essential
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• CPC and Tacho card in date
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
