About the Role
Merlyn Phoenix Limited, based in Cricklade, Swindon, is hiring HGV Class 1 drivers for tramping work. We have rapid growth projections, providing long-term careers for drivers on our permanent contract with the world's largest online retailer.

Permanent contract with a base salary of GBP42,000 to GBP44,000, including night out money, based on one tramping tour per week.
Contributory company pension
28 days paid holiday, based on one tour per week
No loading or unloading required.
Deliveries are from fulfillment centre to fulfillment centre or warehouse/distribution centre.
Traction work involves only drop/swap trailers.
Facilities available for drivers to take breaks at fulfillment centres, with free refreshments.
On-site parking available.

HGV Driver Requirements
Prepared to be away in the truck for the week.
Hold a valid commercial Driving License with categories C / C+E.
Have a Full Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
Possess a Digital Tachograph / Smart Card.
Pass background checks and drug/alcohol tests as permitted by law.
Be able to speak and read English satisfactorily.
Have a maximum of 6 penalty points on the license, with no DD, DR, or IN endorsements.
Approved drivers include those with BGC results meeting requirements and negative drug/alcohol tests.
HGV Driver Responsibilities
Use navigation apps and local knowledge to deliver packages on time.
Interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report issues.
Report vehicle issues and delays in real time.
Drive in various weather conditions, including light snow.
Maintain electronic logs of routes and deliveries.
