Job summary

Big On Logistics Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Class 1 driver for a full-time role based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. You will tramp between UK distribution centres, making bulk pickups and deliveries across a nationwide network of depots, with a modern fleet and a friendly team.

You\'ll work a flexible schedule in a busy 24-hour operation, with afternoon and night shifts, and be required to meet legal driving and safety standards, including a C+E licence, Driver CPC and Digi Card.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E license and Driver CPC/Digi Card.
• UK driving experience preferred.
• No more than six penalty points on license.
• Pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Tramping between UK distribution centres.
• Bulk collections and deliveries to nationwide depots.
• Interact professionally with customers and maintain high service standards.
• No loading or unloading; focus on driving duties.
• Operate in a 24-hour shift environment with flexible hours.

Job description

We are looking for Class 1 drivers (full time). You will be working for a family-run business based in Longton, Stoke-On-Trent, est 2019. All trucks are new and modern and well maintained by main dealer. Depot to Depot, no Handball, and no self-tip, primarily box trailers.
As a member of our team, you'll be making bulk collections/deliveries from nationwide network of depots. You'll need a flexible outlook, a friendly personality, smart appearance and good customer service.
The Role
As a Class 1 driver you will be tramping between varied UK distribution centres
You will be expected to interact in a positive and professional manner and value customer service
As a busy 24-hour operation, shift times will vary week on week so flexibility will be required.
Will have a desire to work predominately Afternoon and Night shifts

HGV Driver Requirements
Hold a valid C+E license, Driver CPC Card (or DQC Card) and Digi Card
Understand and comply to tachograph and drivers hours regulations
Minimum of 12 months UK driving time is preferred
English Language is required
Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
No more than six penalty points on your license (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
Must pass per-employment Drug & Alcohol screening, and client vetting process
Approved drivers consist of drivers with BGC results as "Meets Requirements" and drug and alcohol tests with negative results.
