Job summary

Big On Logistics Ltd is seeking an Experienced HGV Tramper Driver to join our family-run team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will start and finish shifts in Stoke-on-Trent, tramping between UK depots with a focus on customer service and safety.

The role offers afternoon and night shifts within a 24-hour operation and excludes loading/unloading tasks. We require a C+E license with CPC/Digi Card, tachograph compliance, and at least 12 months UK Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid C+E license, Driver CPC Card (or DQC Card) and Digi Card.
• Understand and comply with tachograph and drivers hours regulations.
• At least 12 months of professional Category C+E (Class 1 HGV) driving experience in the UK required.
• English language is required, with compliance to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Tramp between varied UK distribution centres as part of a busy 24-hour operation.
• Interact in a positive, professional manner and uphold customer service standards.
• Shift times vary week to week; flexibility is required; predominantly afternoon and night shifts.
• Operate without loading/unloading duties and focus on efficient driving and safety.

Experienced HGV Tramper Driver

This role is based in Stoke on Trent, this is where your shift will start and finish.

We are looking for experienced Class 1 drivers (full time). You will be working for a family-run business based in Longton, Stoke-On-Trent, est 2019. All trucks are new and modern and well maintained by main dealer. Depot to Depot, no Handball, and no self-tip, primarily box trailers.

As a member of our team, you'll be making bulk collections/deliveries from nationwide network of depots. You'll need a flexible outlook, a friendly personality, smart appearance and good customer service.

The Role

• As a Class 1 driver you will be tramping between varied UK distribution centres
• You will be expected to interact in a positive and professional manner and value customer service
• As a busy 24-hour operation, shift times will vary week on week so flexibility will be required.
• Will have a desire to work predominately Afternoon and Night shifts
• Tramper work

HGV Driver Requirements

• Hold a valid C+E license, Driver CPC Card (or DQC Card) and Digi Card
• Understand and comply to tachograph and drivers hours regulations
• At least 12 months of professional Category C+E (Class 1 HGV) driving experience in the UK required
• English Language is required
• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
• No more than six penalty points on your license (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
• Must pass per-employment Drug & Alcohol screening, and client vetting process
• Approved drivers consist of drivers with BGC results as “Meets Requirements” and drug and alcohol tests with negative results.
