Job Opportunity: HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E)

The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Slough area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours:

Monday to Friday with occasional weekends available, 8am until approximately 5pm.

The role:

• Up to 30 stops per day, including deliveries and collections (commercial and residential).
• Handling bulk deliveries with a mix of handball, tail lift, and pump truck work.
• Ensuring timely and safe transportation of parcels.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhering to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicating with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Ability to pass a driving assessment.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
