Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Sherburn in Elmet, LS25. The role offers a £1000 sign-on bonus and pays per hour, with day and night shifts available across local and regional routes. Minimum 6 months experience required.

Typical duties include delivering totes, pallets, and boxes, operating tail lifts and dock levellers, and completing multiple drops per trailer while ensuring safe loading/unloading. Various shift patterns (Thu–Sun primary) may occur.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Confident with reversing and manoeuvring in tight spaces
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional attitude
• No more than 6 points
• Digi card and DCPC

Responsibilities

• Delivery of totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and distribution centres
• Operating tail lifts, pump trucks, and dock levellers
• Completing 1-4 drops per trailer (typically 1 run, occasionally 2 per shift)
• Carrying out store deliveries, some of which involve tight access and reversing

Staffline is recruiting for HGV Class 1 drivers for our client based in Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

Minimum 6 months experience required for this role

PAYE rates for the role of HGV Class 1 driver are as follows:

Days: £20.00 per hour

Nights £20.75 per hour

Saturday: £21.50 per hour

Sunday: £22.25 per hour

Bank Holiday Day: £23.25 per hour

Bank Holiday Night: £26.91 per hour

Your Time at Work

We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team, delivering totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and RDCs across local and regional routes.

Minimum 6 months experience required for this role and a someone able to use initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of totes, pallets, and black boxes to stores and distribution centres
• Operating tail lifts, pump trucks, and dock levellers
• Completing 1-4 drops per trailer (typically 1 run, occasionally 2 per shift)
• Ensuring safe and efficient loading/unloading of goodsCarrying out store deliveries, some of which involve tight access and reversing

We are mainly looking for drivers to work Thursday to Sunday as these are the busiest days - there may be adhoc shifts available mid week too upon request.
