Job summary

Pertemps Stoke-on-Trent is recruiting HGV 1 / LGV 1 drivers for a site in Stoke-on-Trent. You will deliver timber across the UK, strap and secure loads, perform daily vehicle checks and ensure transport regulations are followed.

Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles, AM & PM shifts available. Parity pay: days £17.69 per hour, nights £19.54 per hour, with shifts Mon–Fri 04:00–06:00 starts and Sun–Thu nights. This is a long-term role with a supportive employer.

Qualifications

• CE entitlement and CPC/Digi Card required for Class 1 driving.
• Full UK driving licence with at least 2 years on Class 1.
• No more than six penalty points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timber products to customers across the UK.

Our prestigious client is currently looking for HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers to work at their site in Stoke on Trent, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering timber products to customers across the UK
• Strapping and securing the load using correct health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
• Driving Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles
• Completing deliveries efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service

AM & PM Shifts available

To be considered for this HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers role you will need:

• CE Entitlement
• Digi Card & CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Held Class 1 licence for 2 years
• No more than 6 points

Day Driver shifts are Monday – Friday, with start times between 0400 – 0600

Night Driver shifts are Sunday – Thursday, with start times between 1600 - 1800
