Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail in Swindon is seeking HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for trunking between national depots. Morning, evening and weekend shifts available. Excellent pay: £21.99–£25.12 per hour, PAYE, weekly pay and pension.

Onsite parking and canteen facilities at most depots. Temporary/ongoing position through 2026 with the Pertemps team providing support. Role involves trunking between Royal Mail depots, no handballing, and adhering to planned routes with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years)
• A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
• 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
• Max 6 points on your licence
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks

Responsibilities

• Transport mail between national sites
• Complete vehicle checks and uphold top-tier safety
• Follow scheduled routes with precision
• Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run
