Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) driver for Southampton to support nationwide trunking and depot-to-depot operations. You will drive organized routes, carry out vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards while representing the brand across routes.

Shifts include morning, evening and weekend work. Pay is £21.72–£24.84 per hour with weekly pay, holidays and a pension; successful candidates will have 180 days Class 1 experience, CPC, tachograph card and a clean licence.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / CE licence (held for 1 year).
• A valid and in date CPC.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• 180 days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years.
• Max 6 points on your licence.
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between Royal Mail depots.
• Follow scheduled routes with precision.
• Transport mail between national sites.
• Complete vehicle checks and uphold top-tier safety.
• Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run.
