Job summary

Stobart (Part of the Culina Group) is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our General Haulage operation at our site in Leeds, working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern including nights. Roles involve deliveries to distribution centres and stores with a focus on safety and customer service.

We offer enhanced pay rates, from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift, plus a £5 per shift meal allowance. Night shifts and weekend rates apply.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred, with a valid C+E Licence.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Current DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understanding of Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Ability to perform vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• On-site health and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with curtainside trailers to DCs and stores.
• Occasional store deliveries and load/unload cages.
• Complete vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Coordinate with transport team for smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver's hours and tachographs.
