Job summary

Stobart, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers for our Unilever site in Leeds to join a general haulage operation, delivering to stores and RDCs across the region. This full-time role follows a 4 on 4 off pattern with night shifts available.

Pay rates now range from £16.35 to £18.96 per hour, with an additional £5 per shift meal allowance and other benefits. Candidates must hold a C+E licence and have up-to-date DCPC & Tachograph cards.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and ideally 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions.
• Current valid DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores.
• Support General work, including occasional store deliveries and loading/unloading cages.
• Complete all necessary vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintain high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
• Work closely with transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Job Description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our customer Site Unilever in Leeds, for our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The role is full time, working on a permanent basis and will be working on a 4 on 4 offshift pattern and we have opportunities working Nights:

• Night Shift 18:00

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from£16.35 to £18.96 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Nights- £16.35per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Nights- £18.65per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.96per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities:
