Job summary

CEVA Logistics UK&I is seeking an experienced Class 1 Night Driver for a permanent full-time position based in Moreton On Lugg. You will work 48 hours weekly, Sunday to Thursday, 6:30pm–4am, with an unsocial premium and a base salary of £39,062.40 per year.

You’ll perform trunking duties, provide professional driving service, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A Category C+E license and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an in-date Category C+E (Class 1) license.
• Willing to cover day shifts when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking duties from the out base to Runcorn to collect products for the following day’s deliveries.
• Provide a professional driving service that meets and exceeds client expectations.
• Ensure all driving and transport activities are carried out safely and in line with policies and current regulations.
• Carry out vehicle and equipment checks before operation and report defects.
• Complete all required documentation and system transactions accurately.
• Cover the day shift when the day driver is on annual leave.

YOUR ROLE

We are currently looking for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our team. This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is dedicated and hard working to come into a permanent full-time position and help CEVA Logistics continue to deliver a first-class service.The role would be based in Moreton On Lugg.

You’ll work 48 hours per week, Sunday – Thursday on a night shift, The salary for this role is £39,062.40.

In addition, we pay an unsocial premium of £3.33 per hour between 8pm and 6am. Your shift times are 6:30pm-4am.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Your duties will also include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out trunking duties from the out base to Runcorn to collect products for the following day’s deliveries.
• Providing a professional driving service that meets and exceeds the expectations of our clients and customers.
• Ensuring all driving and transport activities are carried out safely and securely in line with company policies, procedures and current Traffic Legislation/Compliance, including applicable EU Regulations.
• Carrying out all required vehicle and equipment checks before operation and reporting any defects immediately.
• Completing all required documentation and system transactions accurately.
• Covering the day shift when the day driver is on annual leave.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Must hold an in-date Category C+E (Class 1) license.
• Must be happy to provide cover for day shift driver’s annual leave.

We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated team player with strong communication, organisational and attention-to-detail skills. You will be flexible, able to prioritise a busy workload, and confident using your own initiative.
