Aligra Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a night shift role in the Exeter area, with long-distance routes connecting regional hubs.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar heavy goods driving role.
• Ability to work nights consistently and reliably.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing freight and documentation.
• Excellent communication and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles on scheduled night-time routes.
• Follow routing and scheduling to ensure timely parcel delivery and collection between hubs.
• Load, secure, and occasionally unload freight including pallets, cages, and containers.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and complete defect reports as required.
• Handle shipment paperwork, scan consignments accurately, and maintain communication with dispatch teams.
• Adhere to all relevant road safety and company policies to ensure compliance and safety.
