Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times.
• Complete daily checks and report any vehicle defects.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries efficiently.
• Double check deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.

We are currently recruiting for an additional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Transport division located at our Portbury - Bristol depot.

Working hours

Monday to Friday Nights - No tramping.

Hourly rate

£15.01 per hour paid weekly, plus £55 per week night shift allowance.

Overtime after 39 hours each week is paid at time and a half.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported.
• Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle.
• Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations).
• Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot.

What are we looking for?

• Someone with a C+E driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Someone who can lift up to 18kg.
• You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English.
