Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver based in Atherstone, Warwickshire. This Temp to Permanent role offers Monday to Friday work, a competitive hourly pay of £18.00, and progression opportunities within a growing company.

As a Class 1 Driver you will safely deliver and collect machinery across the UK, prioritising customer service and professional representation of the company. Start times range from 05:00 to 09:00, with occasional overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional and flexible approach to work.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nationwide deliveries and collections of machinery and equipment across the UK.
• Load, secure, and transport equipment safely.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Complete vehicle housekeeping and basic maintenance duties.
• Ensure all delivery and collection paperwork is completed accurately.
• Adhere to driver hours and road transport regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
