Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Weybridge area (LHR depot). We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.

Shifts: Shifts across Monday to Sunday days or nights

Pay Rate:

• Days: £16.72 per hour PAYE.
• Nights: £18.55 per hour PAYE.

Location: Weybridge, KT13

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
• International work.
• Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Filling out daily timesheets and analysing paperwork against load on board.
• Reporting any discrepancies.
• Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• Minimum of 6 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
