JOB PURPOSE

To drive LGV/HGV vehicles and deliver goods and services as required. To drive company delivery vehicles and deliver its goods to customers efficiently and considerately whilst ensuring the health and safety of self, the public, and other road users. To ensure the good maintenance and operation of the company's assets and to provide excellent service to customers.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check the safety and condition of the vehicle at the start of each day, record its condition using the system provided, and promptly report any faults.
• Care for the company's assets whilst in charge, ensuring they are used according to manufacturer's recommendations for effective long-term performance.
• Ensure the vehicle is securely loaded and restrained, and that weights are within legal limits.
• Drive efficiently and productively within prevailing road traffic law.
• Prioritize health and safety of self, the public, and other road users at all times.
• Represent the company professionally on the road and at customer premises, reporting any issues affecting business prospects.
• Assist in yard and other duties when not driving or on legally required breaks.
• Complete reports and documentation accurately and on time to assist business management.
• Contribute to the wellbeing and profitability of the business as much as possible.
• Ensure compliance with legal duties related to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable, and legally compliant workplace.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE

• Training on site on the day.
• HGV Class 1 License with some experience.
• Drivers CPC Card.
• Valid Tachograph Card.
