Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is seeking an HGV 1 Driver to join a busy transport operation. This role offers guaranteed 5 shifts per week, day shifts, and a path to permanent employment after a temp period.

You will drive wagon and drag vehicles, complete deliveries between stores, perform vehicle checks, and maintain paperwork, with starts at 08:00 or 10:00. The position emphasizes safety and reliability in a busy logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Ideally, at least 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points permitted.
• No major endorsements such as DD, DR or IN.
• No age restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Drive a wagon and drag vehicle, delivering boxed products to stores.
• Typically complete two runs per shift.
• Carry out easy drop-and-swap deliveries.
• Complete deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Conduct vehicle checks and complete the required paperwork.
• Follow all road safety procedures and maintain professional standards.
