Job summary

Staffline in Cannock are recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers. The role offers hourly pay from £16.25 to £22.99 with ad hoc start times and on-site support.

Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety protocols. A valid HGV 1/C+E licence, DCPC, and Tacho cards are required, with at least 6 months of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence required.
• DCPC and Tacho cards required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.

Your Time at Work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for:

• General Haulage depot, delivering for a number of customers. Ambient work trunked into depot for onward delivery.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Applicants will comply with on-site health and safety requirements. You will understand and be able to comply with the driver’s hours and WTD legislation

You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience with no more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions.
