Culina Contract Logistics in Banbury is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our 24/7 operation, delivering palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide. This permanent, full‑time role offers a 4on/4off days or 5on/2off nights pattern with competitive hourly rates.

You will be responsible for safe deliveries, complete paperwork, adhere to tachograph rules and driver hours, and maintain professional customer service.

Qualifications

• C+E Licence valid and held.
• 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; new pass drivers welcome.
• Current Tachograph and DCPC cards preferred.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsabilités

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres.
• Support tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on demand.
• Report delays or issues to Transport at shift start.
• Complete paperwork and sign PODs.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards; adhere to tachograph rules.

We're looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Contract Logistics team in Banbury, supporting deliveries for key customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent, full-time driving role with a 24/7 operation, delivering palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres nationwide.

Shift pattern available:

• 4on4off Days , 06:00 - 18:00, 34.5/46 hours per week (some weeks you will only work 3 days and other weeks 4 days)
• 5 on 2 off Nights , 5pm to 4am (Typically Monday - Friday)

Salary available:

• Day Rate : £16.96ph (£15.96 per hour basic + £1ph 4o4o Allowance) & Overtime after contracted weekly hours paid at £23.93ph
• Night Rate: £17.96 per hour (£15.96 + £2.00 night premium)
• Nights Weekly Pay: £942.90 gross (52.5 hours)

What you'll be doing

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises.
• Complete palletised general haulage deliveries to Regional Distribution Centres, with most deliveries completed as backdoor tip.
• Support occasional driver tipping or multi-drop deliveries depending on customer demand.
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and communicate any delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies promptly.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company rules and procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and adhere to tachograph rules and regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedure and report defects correctly.
• Take responsibility for the unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a high standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

What we're looking for

• Valid C+E Licence.
• 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred; we welcome new pass drivers to apply.
• No more than 6 points on your licence and no DD or DR code convictions.
• Current valid DCPC and Tachograph cards.
• Good understanding of Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.l>
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
