Job summary

SGM Recruitment seeks an HGV Class 1 driver for day and night shifts delivering refrigerated loads to Aldi stores across the Midlands. The role involves regional store deliveries with some loading/unloading at sites, and requires strict adherence to temperature procedures.

Shifts are long, typically 10–12 hours, with starts from early morning to later evenings. Ongoing agency work with weekly pay is available, and pay details are agreed before starting.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E driving licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are mandatory.
• At least six months of Class 1 driving experience.
• Confidence reversing and manoeuvring articulated vehicles.
• Commitment to vehicle checks, paperwork and temperature procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver refrigerated goods to Aldi stores across the Midlands.
• Complete loading/unloading at distribution centres and stores as required.
• Follow site procedures and temperature checks throughout shifts.
• Work day and night shifts with flexible start times.
